Welcome

The Department of Environmental Studies offers a B.A. and B.S. in Environmental Studies, and an M.S. and PhD in Environmental Science. Faculty expertise includes economics, systems modeling, risk analysis, geographic information systems, and public policy. Students study from an interdisciplinary curriculum of biophysical and social sciences, and gain experience through internships, research, and community projects.

Our graduates work in a variety of environmental positions, including planning, policy, conservation, site assessment, lab science, education, as well as land use, water resources, wildlife/fisheries and solid waste management. We have distinguished alumni in the private sector, public sector, and non-governmental organizations.
