ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to determine the amount of selenium in the soil in the Ducks Unlimited Wetland Site at the Clark County Wetlands Park. The Ducks Unlimited Wetland Site (DU site) will improve the environmental conditions within the Clark County Wetlands Park (CCWP) by replacing undesirable habitat with habitat better suited for the colonization by aquatic and semi-aquatic waterfowl and other wildlife and vegetation which are part of the park. A subsequent component of the project is to help meet the need within the Las Vegas Valley to manage urban runoff waters and resurfacing groundwater which flows down channels into the Las Vegas Wash (FEA for park 2004).
